If ye continue
in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. —John 8:31-32 None can love freedom heartily, but good men; the rest love not freedom, but license. —John Milton (1608–1674) Welcome to Bright Horizon America. Our purpose is to inform and motivate people to appreciate, adhere to, protect, and share the wonderful ideals that have made America an ensign to the world. Edmund Burke said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” We are doing something. We hope you are too.
Beside
the insane attacks of terrorism from without, our beloved country is
also under a
two-pronged assault from within—power-hungry
elitists
on one hand, and vice-ridden debauchees on the other. The oppression
and ruin they would bring
upon us is signaled in
Ben Franklin’s Poor Richard’s Almanac: “Nothing brings more
pain
than too much pleasure; nothing
more bondage than too much liberty.” Excess or perversion of liberty is
called license. When one
group attempts this, all others must lose actual liberty by
subtraction. If this degradation of the
majority sounds like a mission statement for ACLU and their ilk,
you
are right. They smugly hope
to succeed in their brazen encroachments against the rights and
heritage
of the American majority. But they are mistaken.
You,
and we, and
other determined, active citizens will
not allow this. They are arrogant and unrestrained. We are aware and
undaunted—for America’s
God, as our Founders declared, is “Nature’s God.” The stirring words of
our national anthem
remind us, “then conquer we must when our cause it is just.” And our
cause is just, indeed.
The
following essays and ponderables elucidate some of
the
problems America faces today. We hope you will read them
carefully and prayerfully, and share them with others, doing your part
to preserve the great American values, such as faith,
freedom, fortitude,
fairness, family, fidelity, and friendship. National publication
of
Bright Horizon information is extremely
expensive. Your prayers and
support are much
needed
and appreciated, and your
comments and
suggestions are welcome.
Especially, we thank those who are helping us
with their financial contributions.
May God bless you for these crucial efforts
in Freedom's cause—which
is His cause. Bright Horizon America
